Innovative Neurovascular Treatments for Whole-Person Care

Despite the name, there are no blades or incisions used during a Gamma Knife® procedure. AdventHealth is the only medical facility in Central Florida using this innovative, no-incision procedure. Using Gamma Knife® technology, our neurovascular specialists can treat neurovascular disorders with precision, minimizing damage to the surrounding tissue.

Endovascular neurosurgery, also known as interventional neuroradiology (INR), is a newer field of medicine that uses advanced, minimally invasive approaches to treat a wide variety of vascular diseases of the brain and spine, including acute stroke, aneurysms and vascular malformations.

Using 3D imaging to guide a catheter through a vein or artery, our experienced surgeons can view and treat the affected area with pinpoint accuracy.

The AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute has physicians specially trained in endovascular neurosurgery to handle the most complex patient cases using the most advanced techniques available. As one of the only hospitals in Central Florida to provide 24/7 in-house endovascular neurosurgery, you can count on us for the care you need, when you need it.

At AdventHealth, we are on the leading edge of new technology. One of these technologies, the WEB device, is an intra-aneurysmal device that is placed from inside the blood vessel into an aneurysm and blocks blood flow into the aneurysm. This blocks blood from being able to leak out of the aneurysm.
