CHEER>UP Drama Therapy Group
Cheer>Up (Creativity, Humor, Education, Encouragement Resilience, and a Greater Understanding of Parkinson’s) is a free therapy group open to patients with Parkinson's and caregivers. This unique approach uses drama techniques such as improv, humor, mime, voice work, and skits to address Parkinson's issues such as mood, voice, communication and movement. Actors facilitate the therapy and use their voice, movement and expression in an exaggerated way on stage. These techniques allow the group to address Parkinson's in an interactive and stimulating way.
The program is held on the third Tuesday of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at:
2800 N Orange Ave.
Orlando, FL 32804
