Salman Akram, MD, is an experienced psychiatrist who earned his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC, where he also served as a chief psychiatry resident. Dr. Akram is an active member in several renowned behavioral health organizations, including the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA}, Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) and American Psychiatric Association (APA). He believes in a holistic, patient-centered approach to care that emphasizes compassion and collaboration. Dr. Akram speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
